1. How to use
- Allow camera access and, if needed, enable location metadata and Hidden-album saving.
- Select the photo count and capture sound, then start a capture session.
- Keep the clock screen visible, lock the iPhone, and wait at least five seconds.
- After unlocking, when UnlockCam returns to the foreground, it attempts a photo immediately and, in two-photo mode, another about two seconds later. Keep UnlockCam in the foreground until processing finishes.
2. Common checks
- No capture: Keep the clock visible before locking, do not force-quit the app, and check camera permission, battery, and OS state. iOS does not provide a general unlock event to apps.
- Photo is not retained: Check Save in Hidden album and Photos library permission. UnlockCam does not store photos on a server.
- Return to Settings: In two-photo mode, wait about three seconds for processing to finish, then press anywhere on the screen with two fingers for two seconds. The Settings screen will open.
- Capture sound: You can select Camera or Chime and a volume level, but iOS rules in some countries or regions may prevent changes.
